And That's How It All Began...

And That's How It All Began...

Partly aware and mostly slumbering deep, I still could feel the blanket slipping away in a flash. “Maa,” I protested, my hand trying to grab any end of the blanket, “five more minutes, please.”

Neither Maa responded nor did I reach my blanket. Before my consciousness could suspect anything unusual, a male’s voice broke the sequences of my thoughts. “I am waiting only four minutes. Get yourself brushed and be there to have a lunch.” The voice was deep like a sound of rumbling thunderclouds. It was a voice of my father.

Xitij 2013

http://chandrapal21.blogspot.in/2014/06/xitij-2013.html

P
eople either used to preserve their memories in pictures or used to trust their mind to remember everything. But, against time everything fails. Pictures fades and mind weakens with time. And, I don’t want to take any chances about the moments I passed with these remarkable people, these treasured memories, to slip away. Some memories are indeed worth writing.

Lamhe's Memories - The Station Problem

Lamhe's Memories - The Station Problem

24th January 2014

Wintry wind ruffled my hair as Dhyey veered his bike left and right over the road. A heavy travelling bag, full of clothes was stacked between his legs. All over the way, I feared the bag would misbalance our bike, and send us rolling. Fortunately, Dhyey managed to escort me safely to our spot for the shoot – Anand’s Railway Station.

Lamhe's Memories - The Shooting @ ADIT

  Lamhe's Memories - The Shooting @ ADIT

24th January 2014

I bolted upright on my bed as the phone rang near my ear. Heavy-eyed I picked it up and found Taral’s name flashing over it.

“Where are you?” He asked directly. No ‘Hello’, no ‘Good-Morning’. Nothing.

“Still under blanket,” I said, stifling a yawn.

Lamhe's Memories - The Plotting

 Lamhe's Memories - The Plotting

11:30 P.M, 23rd January 2014

I sat cross-legged upon the rug of our college’s auditorium. Before me seated was Dhaval, his eyes staring at me through his blue-framed spectacles, yearning for some ideas. Beside him was Taral, wondering something about the same. And behind me, upon the stage were Aakash, Dhyey and Vishwas, still busy in choreographing their dance. While Niraj mingled himself in mixing the sounds in his dear new laptop. And, how can I forget this guy, Vishal was enjoying Roadies’s Auditions on someone’s laptop. That sounds bit odd, but believe me, whatever people says about him, he was always there to support us.
